1) How (and when) did you get started in music? I was eleven the first time I sat in front of a stand up piano. It was at a Boy Scout meeting. I had some songs in my head and just sat down and started playing. I was asked if I had ever played before (I hadn’t) but I knew at that point I wanted to pursue music.
2) Was there a particular event or person that inspired you? Sure! The Ed Sullivan show when they brought the Beatles on. I thought they were cool and knew I wanted to go in that direction.
3) What is your favorite style(s) to play/sing? My “style” is pretty eclectic, but probably the combination of: Cream, Grand Funk Railroad, The Eagles, Willie, Waylon, and David Allan Coe. Kris Kristofferson is one of my favorite writers.

4) Can you share a little bit of your experience for our readers? I joined my first band at the age of sixteen and played mostly rock & roll and blues until the onset of the disco age. At that time, I crossed over into the country genre and never looked back but I still love to play rock and blues as well. I’ve been fortunate to play with several amazing bands, including North Forty Band, Silverhawk, Sandy & The Classics, Wild Wild West, and Hearts on Fire (where I met Karah).

I’ve also had some incredible opportunities, opening up for Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Pam Tillis, and John Berry.

During my years in New England, I was the recipient of several honors by the New Hampshire Country Music Association, Northeast County Music Association, and The Country Music Association of America (Las Vegas) for Entertainer of the Year as well as sharing honors with Hearts on Fire for Band of the Year in multiple categories from New Hampshire to New England to North American Country Music Association International (Pigeon Forge, TN).

5) Any studio time? Oh yea. Dark Star Studio (New Boston, NH) 1983, Kingston Recording Studio (Kingston, NH), StarPlex Studio (White House, TN), and The Project Room (Hendersonville, TN) where Karah and I recorded our second Nashville studio project with the help of Jerry Webb and Lance Dary as well as some pretty awesome studio & road pickers.
6) What do you like to do besides music? I’m a science buff. I love to read books on quantum physics as well as binge watch Twilight Zone episodes 🤓👽.
7) And finally…Got pets? I’m sure Karah has already shared about our fur-kids (Ginnie, Libby & Rosie) but I’ve also had some others like Toby – my 180lb Great Pyrenees as well as Bandit, who was my 135lb Alaskan Malamute.
